Whilst wandering around Felixstowe recently I decided to drift in and out of some charity shops (I'm unemployed and on a budget you know) when I struck lucky - I mean I really struck lucky! One shop had two vintage Pentax lenses (dating back to film days.) Having checked the glass was clear and undamaged I took test shots with both at 100 iso. those two shots were enough to convince me these could be a bargain. Recent tax rebate meant I could afford to pay for them (£68 for both.) I spent the rest of the day testing out said lenses.
First test shots with the SMC Pentax-F 28-80mm F3.5-4.5
First test shots with the SMC Pentax-F 70-210mm F4-5.6
The above albums were enough to convince me I had got myself a bargain. Both lenses are quality glass and cover a good range. The following day we went to Cambridge, I only took these two lenses with me. The following photos are enough to convince me that these two lenses (nicknamed Little and Big Vintage) are going to become firm favourites!
